It’s that time of year again in the District. Somehow, I was dumb enough to venture out on the first weekend. Upon exiting the Smithsonian stop, I was met with a cloud of gravelly dust created by the stampede of strollers. That being said, aside from dodging slow walkers and kite strings, it was an agreeable outing. The best thing to do at these sort of functions is to sit and stay in one place as long as possible.
The benefits of being a semi-local is knowing the metro system and dodging the line that spanned four lanes of traffic to get back on at the Smithsonian stop.
